The Philosophical Musings of a Mylkmaid...

This weekend we are offering our very special chamomile and honey aMYLK, I'm sunny. If you didn't get one last weekend,  consider trying it this week. It's getting amazing reviews and I'm not surprised. I have weaved so much love into this one in honor of my late father, Jerry, who used to call me his Sunshine.
I'm currently in Tennessee, visiting my mom and my brother's family. My body is resting and my heart is getting a much needed refill. The skies are filled with the pulsating rhythms of cicada sounds amidst an abundance of sunshine. While I'll miss you all this week, I'm happy to be here.
Travel and rest always offer up fresh perspectives for me, and I find myself reflecting today on consumption as a spiritual practice - not just thinking of food as medicine, or food as fuel, but food as a portal to deeper connection…to oneness.
During my morning meditations today, I stumbled upon a passage from The Priestess Transmissions that struck a cord. The author, Amy Belair, writes about the experience of being a physical human on a physical planet and how beautiful and divine that experience can be when it is not met with restrictiveness.
"There is no underlying energy of 'don't eat sugar' or 'don't indulge in treats' or anything like that. It's more like 'eat it in spiritual communion with the miracle of life on Earth - and in so doing, you deeply, deeply honor yourself, you honor life, you honor the abundance of the nourishment that is made available to us at all times, and you honor the earth herself.'”
This, I feel, is the aMYLK way: “Constant, unending, abundant nourishment.”
It is an honor to feed the wholeness of you. Pre-order now through Wednesday at noon.
Love, Amy
