The aMYLK Life
I am profoundly grateful for the life that I have cultivated and the community that I have built through aMYLK. It all started because I was experiencing undiagnosed mystery illness symptoms and I was suspicious that it had something to do with nutrition.
The Philosophical Musings of a Mylkmaid...
Travel and rest always offer up fresh perspectives for me, and I find myself reflecting today on consumption as a spiritual practice - not just thinking of food as medicine, or food as fuel, but food as a portal to deeper connection…to oneness.
Creating Beautiful Abundance
In our busy, social media crazed world, we can easily fall into the habit of comparison and self-criticism. It is so easy to lose sight of the importance of offering ourselves positive encouragement like telling ourselves that we are beautiful and special and capable of attracting abundance. In fact, I'd argue that the habit of self-criticism (and the criticism of others) can lead us to disease.
Transitioning To Fall
I ran away to Central Oregon after market ended on Sunday. It was just for a couple of nights, but I feel refreshed and reset and ready for fall. When I planned this getaway with my oldest daughter, it still felt like summer and I had visions of us swimming in rivers and camping outside under the stars. I had no idea temperatures would be down in the 40's at night with highs of 65. Fall entered through the side door and my summer visions were swept away. I missed it. I was so busy working, I missed summer!
Celebrating 5 Years
