I am profoundly grateful for the life that I have cultivated and the community that I have built through aMYLK. It all started because I was experiencing undiagnosed mystery illness symptoms and I was suspicious that it had something to do with nutrition.
In the past 8 years since starting aMYLK, I have healed from eczema, SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth), systemic arthritis and degenerative disk disease. In truth, I'm still working on it. Health is a quest that I shall pursue throughout my life.
I've done more than just focus on nutrition, though. I've deeply connected with my innermost self and I've learned to focus on the people, places and activities that bring me the most joy. I've learned about plants and their medicinal benefits and woven them into my daily practices. As I write this, my whole body is vibrating with confirmation.
Wellness is never just about addressing one thing. We are all multifaceted, multidimensional beings and each part of us requires a certain level of love and care for us to thrive.
When I look back, SIBO, arthritis, eczema, arthritis… they were all gifts and they led me here. Something led you here, too. It is an honor to help nourish you and support you in your healing and daily maintenance.
As we move into the wetter, darker days of the year, I invite you to visit us at my shop in NW Portland where you can pick up aMYLK, order an aMYLK latte with adaptogens and also shop for other products to support you in your own wellness quest.
This weekend, Rachel is serving up chai lattes using Anima Mundi's Golden Sun Milk (available for purchase in store) which contains maca, cordyceps and mucuna for a healing, anti-inflammatory, soul soothing treat. As winter progresses, we hope to create more specialty aMYLK lattes for you to enjoy.
Thank you for being part of my journey. I'm so glad you're here.
