The dark days of Winter are upon us and nothing brightens my day like aMYLK. I look forward to it in the morning to break my fast either with my coffee or as an adaptogenic elixir (or both)! Sometimes I'll make a hot cocoa before bed. It's hard for me to live without aMYLK… and for some of us, it's been quite a while!
The snow and ice last week had many in our community homebound, without electricity, or the ability to drive. Portland Farmers Market was closed. It was not the 2024 reopening that I had imagined!
I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone who came to the shop last weekend as well as to my wonderful team for showing up and honoring their commitments. Thank you.
I'm hoping that this weekend is a much busier and exciting weekend for us! If you can pre-order, or come out to shop, it will greatly help us recover lost revenue and on top of that, we miss you as much as I hope you miss us!
Something came up yesterday for me that really hit home. It was the idea of creating for one's self rather than trying to make something people will buy and how when we do that, we find the greatest success. That's certainly been the case for me.
I create aMYLK because I Love it. It ignites my passion and creativity, soothes my soul and nourishes my body. I'm attracted to it and it's attracted to me. We feed each other. I don't make aMYLK to make a profit (though that's nice and certainly necessary). I make aMYLK because it is my art. I make it for me and it delights me that you like it, too.
Pre-orders can be placed online before Wednesday at noon. Select your pick up location at shipping. Special flavors this week are Peppermint Cacao, and I'm beautiful. I highly recommend Cacao Hazelnut, however. That's what I'll be ordering this week. :)
