I ran away to Central Oregon after market ended on Sunday. It was just for a couple of nights, but I feel refreshed and reset and ready for fall. When I planned this getaway with my oldest daughter, it still felt like summer and I had visions of us swimming in rivers and camping outside under the stars. I had no idea temperatures would be down in the 40's at night with highs of 65. Fall entered through the side door and my summer visions were swept away. I missed it. I was so busy working, I missed summer!
Oh friends, stay present. Life is so precious. It's so delicate. I wonder at how tight I can hold myself sometimes. Life is not a sprint, I must remind myself. I also must remind myself to rest. Fall is here to help me remember how much I love cozy sweaters, long evening baths and hot mugs of aMYLK in the evenings with adaptogens to help me unwind.
If summer is a season of effort, fall feels like a season of reconciliation and planning. It's this time of year that I love to sharpen my pencils and plan. I have so much coming through me right now and it's easy to get overwhelmed, but inside of me is a river of peace.
My peace comes from knowing that my life is no chance accident and that I am here at this moment for a reason. There is purpose in what I do. I'm special, as are you. (Do you get my affirmation labels on my Super aMYLK bottles now? They are reminders for us.) I feel very grateful and excited for the new things to come.
NEWS
We have only two more Lake Oswego markets left (and only 2 more weeks to get I'm cosmic)! The last LO market day is October 1st! Where will you get your aMYLK this fall and winter? You'll always find us year round at PSU on Saturdays and all of our other markets (Beaverton and King) will be going through Thanksgiving. I'm also opening up my kitchen shop soon, so there's that to look forward to as well! Oh and we have a special fall harvest event on October 15th at Graham & Tooze Farm Store in West Linn that you won't want to miss.
There are so many exciting things on the horizon. Welcome fall. I'm ready for you!
