How Far We've Come - Reflections from a Mylk Maid
Last weekend was our biggest sales weekend to date and I am filled with immense gratitude. As we approach wrapping up our 6th full year in business next month, I find myself reflecting on how far we have come.
When I started aMYLK, I barely had two pennies to rub together, was a single mom with four children to provide for independently and no home to call our own. For five of the last 6 years I didn't even have my own bedroom. I cannot explain to you WHY on Earth I decided to... Philosophical Musings From a Mylk MaidI'm beautiful was a big hit last weekend at our markets and in the shop with super beautiful aMYLK lattes. They were pink perfection. We plan to have those again this weekend as well as a number of valentine themed healthy treats at the shop. You won't want to miss this special event day at aMYLK! Deep Philosophical Thoughts with Amy… Based on my survey late last year, I heard that many of you are quite fond of my more philosophical posts. If you are one of those individuals, read on! Creating Beautiful Abundance
In our busy, social media crazed world, we can easily fall into the habit of comparison and self-criticism. My Buckwheat Pancake Recipe Featuring aMYLK!I'm popping up at a new market this weekend! You'll find us Saturday at Portland Farmers Market at PSU, Beaverton Farmers Market, Hollywood Farmers Market, and Portland Farmers at King Elementary on Sunday. I'm abundant is the new mylk this month! It's a fall favorite and probably my superest of Super aMYLKs. It's got turmeric, ashwagandha, pea protein, 24 k gold flakes, camu camu berry, lucuma fruit, and tocotrienols. Tocotrienols are packed with vitamin E. If you haven't tried it, don't let the gold or the yellow throw you off. It's truly delicious. ...
Transitioning To FallI ran away to Central Oregon after market ended on Sunday. It was just for a couple of nights, but I feel refreshed and reset and ready for fall. When I planned this getaway with my oldest daughter, it still felt like summer and I had visions of us swimming in rivers and camping outside under the stars. I had no idea temperatures would be down in the 40's at night with highs of 65. Fall entered through the side door and my summer visions were swept away. I missed it. I was so busy working, I missed summer! |
