I ran away to Central Oregon after market ended on Sunday. It was just for a couple of nights, but I feel refreshed and reset and ready for fall. When I planned this getaway with my oldest daughter, it still felt like summer and I had visions of us swimming in rivers and camping outside under the stars. I had no idea temperatures would be down in the 40's at night with highs of 65. Fall entered through the side door and my summer visions were swept away. I missed it. I was so busy working, I missed summer!

Mother Nature put her foot down this week and said no to strawberries! The rain has delayed ripening and all the nice, organic, local strawberries that I reserved went to the fancy restaurants. So, we have to wait for another week for our beloved strawberry aMYLK.
