Good Things, Like SIBO & Press

3 VERY GOOD THINGS

I want to start with good thing number 1 and it is truly a good thing!

1. aMYLK was featured in Camille Styles this week in an article titled: 18 Wellness Products Our Editors Are Loving This Month: Stress Be Gone. This is our first major press and I am thrilled!  LA based, Australian author, Sacha Strebe is a veritable icon in the design and beauty publishing world (MyDomaine, EyeSwoon) and just like you, she has fallen in Love with aMYLK, particularly our blue belle with cinnamon and spirulina.  I'm doing a little dance of delight right now. Thank you so much, Sacha. More and more people are starting to discover aMYLK and I just brought my overnight shipping prices down, too!

2. I am/aMYLK is officially a Breville Affilliate.  If you all don't know by now, my very favorite thing in the whole wide world, aside from aMYLK, is my Breville Milk Café frother. I legitimately cannot live without it. I've been raving about it for years because nothing froths aMYLK like it! We are talking stiff peak foam (especially with my plain almond). I've never been a big fan of people sponsoring products, but in this case, I truly love this product and my children and I use it every day. I travel with it. I also own the Breville waffle iron, coffee maker, toaster and tea kettle and I've been using them for over 10 years. So, I'm officially sponsoring Breville. YAY! It's time to be humble. I've got 4 mouths to feed after all. Please use this link to shop any Breville product and they will send me a small percentage of the sale.  Get one and you'll see why I'm so nuts about this product and this brand.

3. I've got SIBO again (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth). Wait, you're asking yourself, why is that a good thing? I was first diagnosed with SIBO in 2016 after years of struggle with digestive issues, fatigue, eczema and a whole host of other issues and it is because of the healing journey that I started aMYLK. I healed myself then, and I can heal myself now. Healing feels like my life's Divine Assignment.

I am a happy, healthy person!  I live a really healthy lifestyle.  My only complaint these days, aside from a little bloating, is that I have chronic low level pain throughout my body, specifically in my joints which causes me to sleep poorly. I was diagnosed recently with arthritis and a condition called degenerative disk disease. My MD told me to take some Advil. That was not super helpful.

A couple of months ago, one of my old high school soccer team mates reached out to me seeking some advice about IBS. It led me to start researching SIBO again and that's where I discovered Phoebe Lapine's podcast, SIBO Made Simple and I connected the dots between leaky gut and my chronic inflammation. Could I have SIBO again, I wondered?  A simple, yet expensive, breath test reveled that it was true. How could I have missed this?

I'm excited to be on a healing path again. I have decided not to post about my SIBO too much right now because, honestly, I have no idea how I'm going to address it this time. Be ready for some good stuff, though. Healing is my calling and as soon as I figure it out, I'll let you know.  I'm so grateful to finally know what is behind my pain.  Where there is gratitude, there is magic and serendipity and serendipity is my specialty.
