When you have digestive issues, one of the first things the NDs tell you is to give up gluten. Being of Swiss descent, my mother used to call me her brot (bread) baby. I LOVE BREAD.
My friends in Sellwood at Bastion, the healthiest eatery in Portland, make gluten free bread that is amazing. Personally, I prefer the buckwheat, but I also carry the grain free. I like to slice it thin and freeze the entire loaf and just toast frozen slices as I need them. This way a loaf can last me a few weeks! I know it's expensive, but honestly, it's the best. As in, the very best. I make avocado toast with it, I put smoked salmon on it. I top it with nut butter and blue berries and drizzle honey. It's just amazing. Try it and see for yourself.
