I like to keep dried white mulberries and dried Incan berries (gooseberries) on hand for sprinkling over my morning cereal or adding to my granola and salads. They also make a fun toast topper with Bastion's exquisite gluten free bread and nut butter. I often make a big fruit bowl for breakfast with mylk and add dried berries for extra crunch. You can also keep them in the car for those moments when you need a little snack.

What are the benefits?

Incan Berries are also known as golden berries or cape gooseberries. Incan Berries  grow wild on shrubs throughout South America, where they are native. The fresh fruit is a glowing yellow cherry-like globe dangling inside a translucent, papery lantern. It is a relative of the tomatillo, but these yummy berries are bursting with tangy sweetness. When dried, they look like large golden raisins and are tart like sour gummy candy.

Incan Berries are a remarkable source of vitamins. They possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antihistamine, anti-carcinogenic & antiviral properties. White Mulberries are native to China, but ours are hand picked in Turkey. They are a source of potassium, fiber, iron, calcium and vitamin C, E, A, K and B. Their anti-inflammatory properties help reduce oxidative stress and purify the blood. Other nutrients include folate, manganese, and riboflavin.
