The sun is out! Now is our chance. That vitamin D is hard to come by in the Pacific Northwest, so go outside right now, take off your sunglasses and feel better - now.
How else can you elevate your mood and help yourself feel better? Take off your shoes and put them directly on the grass, on the soil or in the sand. Ground yourself into the Earth and let her nurture you.
It's smoothie season. Finally, we have entered the time of the year where drinking cold beverages doesn't completely shock the system (at least for me). Smoothies are a great way to get the nutrients your body needs in an easily digestible form. What about protein?
My tiger nut aMYLK has 1.5 grams more protein per serving than my almond aMYLK and that's already pretty high at 8 grams per 8.5 oz serving! Using tiger nut aMYLK in your smoothie offers your body a lot of added nutrients like vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It can even help with your digestion. The best part? It's naturally sweet, so you don't need to add any sweetener.
My smoothie go to recipe is one cup fruit (or 1/c cup fruit, 1/c cup spinach or other veggies) and 8-10 oz. of aMYLK. I also add in some super foods like hemp seeds or adaptogens. With tiger nut mylk, I don't need to worry about adding any extra protein powders or nut butters. I can also omit the bananas or dates (although adding a date always makes it amazing) because it's naturally so sweet.
Pre-order by Wednesday at noon to reserve a liter of almond or tiger nut aMYLK for your smoothies for a delicious and nutritious week!
Only one more weekend for I'm cosmic. Mercury Retrograde ends on June 3rd, but we still have a shadow week to get through. It's been a doozy this time, hasn't it?
See you this weekend!
