February is almost here and that means new offerings! Beaverton Market will re-open this weekend and we have a new aMYLK to get excited about. I'm spicy!
What's I'm spicy all about? It's one of my almond-based super aMYLKs that's packed with adaptogens and super herbs.
Wait. What's an adaptogen? It's the question I get asked all the time. If you don't know much about adaptogens, you are not alone. Adaptogens are healing herbs, roots or fungi that help your body adapt to stress and change by balancing hormones, boosting the immune system and calming the nervous system.
Adaptogens are plants that have had to overcome intense stress in order to survive. Rather than become extinct from extreme weather, impossible growing conditions, natural disasters and "stress" in general, they learned to become resistant, resilient, and they evolved. The plants' drive to survive can be passed on to you both energetically and nutritionally when you consume them mindfully.
Adaptogens have been used for centuries in Shamanic, Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic traditions and are only now becoming popular in Western culture. I love to add adaptogens to aMYLK. In fact, it's the reason I started aMYLK to begin with. I was in need of healing when I found these medicinal plants, but to consume them I needed a base or a vehicle, if you will. Thus, I created aMYLK and voila, my health changed dramatically. I use adaptogens every day with my mylk at home. We also make lattes with adaptogens at the shop!
I'm spicy is made with organic almonds and blended with raw cacao, tocotrienols, maca, mucuna pruriens, astragulus, reishi, moringa, rose, ashwagandha, cardamom, turmeric, cayenne, and black pepper for a spicy, chocolatey delicious treat in mylk form. Lightly sweetened with organic maple syrup, this blend is designed to bliss you out. Try heating this one up before bed for a yummy after dinner treat!
What else is new? We will have pitaya bliss balls back in stock this weekend! I pretty much only have these available in February, so don't miss out!
And as crazy as this sounds, I'm going to try to make peach sea moss. I happen to have some of our frozen peaches from last summer and we need to use them! Select “fruity” and you'll get one. I know it sounds kind of random, but why not? Let's give it a goooo!
Get your pre-order in by noon on Wednesday or you'll have to wait a whole other week. Need help placing your first pre-order? Respond to this email and I'll walk you through it. It can be a little confusing the first time around.
