Ground Breaking Bread (GF)
Ground Breaking Bread was born from a need for personal healing, just like aMYLK. I met owner and founder, Clare in early January 2018 right when she was starting out. We met over coffee at Heart In downtown Portland and she told me all about her health journey and how it led her to create her gluten free, dairy free highly nourishing bread. Having also been diagnosed with SIBO (an increasingly common intestinal condition), Clare was determined to eat something that was filling, satisfying, and wouldn’t be deemed a “bad idea” thirty minutes later. Clare's new version of bread was compliant with her diet, didn't give her an upset tummy and tasted delicious. I ordered some for delivery right away.
The purpose of Ground Breaking Bread is to redefine the experience of breaking bread, without sacrificing our health. Most GF breads are typically made with nutrient-deficient flours and mystery additives, but Ground Breaking Bread is made from GF grains and organic seeds, soaked and lightly toasted with love.
Clare doesn’t like to label any tummy as “intolerant”, most of us humans are sensitive to our broken food system, plain and simple, and our bodies have paid the ultimate price.
